Bold, sweet, and iconic

YSL Black Opium Eau de Parfum is undeniably iconic — the blend of coffee, white florals, and vanilla creates a bold, sweet scent that’s instantly recognizable. The bottle is stunning, with its black sparkle and deep pink juice — it looks just as luxe as it smells. While I enjoy it, I do personally prefer the original YSL Opium (the parfum) for its richer, spicier complexity. Black Opium is a bit more mainstream and wearable for every day or night out, and it definitely gets compliments. Overall, it’s a solid signature scent if you love sweet gourmands with a hint of edge — just not my absolute favorite in the Opium lineup.
