Didn’t smell as expected — hoping for a better sec

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really looking forward to trying this famous fragrance, but it didn’t smell how I expected. On me, it opened with a strong alcohol note that never really faded, and I struggled to find the warm, sweet or woody tones people rave about, and that I really liked the sound of. Hours later someone even said I smelled like alcohol, which left me a bit confused and disappointed given its reputation. It might just react differently with my skin, or perhaps my sense of smell is still slightly off after a recent virus. I plan to try it again in a low-key setting, hoping I’ll catch more of the depth and character others experience. I will update the listing. Either way, I’m glad I had the chance to test such a well-known scent firsthand.

A beautiful subtle and classy scent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This perfume is beautiful! I am honestly so in love with the scent, the woody tones mixed with the amber and floral notes are devine! I got quite a few complements on this perfume, and I had people asking what I was wearing. I usually only wear perfumes when I’m going out as my partner gets headaches from the strong odours, however he did not have that experience with this product. He actually enjoyed this perfume. The perfume starts out quite strong in its scent but appears to fade quite quickly. That being said I think it remains subtly on your skin. I could always catch the scent of it in the wind, which felt like pure joy, and one of my friends described it as smelling like it was my personal scent. I think that’s the beauty of this perfume. It’s not a big scent that’s in your face but instead it feels subtle, classy and elegant.
